Lately I’ve started to see “Bad Request” error on PayPal website.
Following is the error:
Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.Cookie: ….
This error occurs only in Google Chrome browser. The error occurs randomly.
Following are the situations when I’ve encountered this error
1) It can happen when you try to login and enter password
2) You try to make payment to someone and you land on paypal account and login
3) You are on the PayPal website and trying to send a payment
4) Others
The Solution
Clean Google Chrome’s Cache and Cookies, restart and, hopefully, problem will be gone.
This error doesn’t happen in Firefox or in IE. So use any other browser than Chrome if cleaning Cache and cookies doesn’t work.
