In one of my previous posts – Google AdSense – How To Block Advertiser – I explained how to block an advertiser in Google AdSense. But it is unfortunate that you can’t block weight loss advertisements by this method.
The way to block weight loss advertisement in AdSense is to block the entire category.
Weight loss advertisements can be blocked from Ad Review Center menu in old Google AdSense interface.
After login into your AdSense account go to AdSense Setup->Ad Review Center.
From here you can block the Weight Loss category or any other category which you wish to block.
In the newer version of AdSense interface you can block weight loss ads from Allow & Block Ads->Sensitive Categories menu.
As you can see there is a considerable amount of revenue loss due to weight loss advert blocking. I personally don’t like such useless adverts appearing on a clean website. So I would be better off with 5.1% revenue loss than to see such annoying adverts appearing on the website which just makes website look cheap.
